Safari Overview
Kidepo valley National Park is a Savannah game park blessed with two beautiful seasonal Rivers which are Kidepo and Narus Rivers. However the Rivers always disappear during the dry season and all they leave behind are the muddy pools until it rains again. The wildlife in Kidepo National Park is like no other in Uganda, you will experience spectacular and untouched wilderness from over 70 mammal’s species, to up to 470 bird species.

Day to Day Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Kidepo valley National Park
After having breakfast, we set off from Kampala/ Entebbe and we head north towards Kitgum town which is about 452km, the journey takes us through the busy traffic jammed town which was badly affected during the 1980s Ugandan civil war. We shall stopover in Luwero town for a couple of fruits and then continue through Nakasongola district which is a sparsely populated area with open Savannah grasslands. Have lunch in Gulu and we then continue to Kidepo Valley National Park.
Day 2: Early morning Game Drive –Lunch -Evening game drive
Early in the morning after breakfast, we set off for a 2-3 hour drive to Kidepo National park through, Kakwanga, Loitanit Villages and finally enter the park, we shall relax at the lodge/ UWA bandas, lunch and then we arrange for an evening game drive(Optional) where you will have a chance to view many animal species including ; the Cheetah, caracal, aardwolf, greater and lesser kudu, mountain reedbuck and Guenther’s dik-dik, Jackson’s hartebeest, oribi, eland and klipspringer, lions and many more.
Day 3: Morning Game drive with an afternoon Kamarojong encounter
Early in the morning after breakfast, you will proceed for a game drive in the park, were you will view many animals including; the lions, elephants, giraffes, bird species, buffaloes, and many more. You will have a lunch break as you prepare for an afternoon Karamojong encounter. You will discover how these people live, relate and socialize. This is probably the best day of your safari. Retire from the activity and return to your lodge as you prepare for a long travel tomorrow.

Day 4: Breakfast – travel back to Kampala or Entebbe Airport
Have breakfast by 6:00 am, check out of the lodge and travel back to Kampala/Entebbe Airport. You will most definitely have lunch en-route that will be coupled with a lot of stopovers at scenic places and to stretch your legs and relax the muscles.
